Portage Description:
We went through here after changing plans and hadn't talked to anyone about what we were in for. My recollection is "bang ... bang ... bang ..." (repeated at regular intervals) - that's the sound of the canoe stern bouncing off the rocks as I came down the hills. I don't recall much mud. In a lot of ways this is like Fern-to-Olifaunt, but shorter at about 2/3 the length.
