Portage Description:
Climbs past the falls on the Southeast end of Keats (not Snake Falls). Begins on left side of the broad falls that is readily visible at this end of Keats. Good landing and trail tread. Well used. We thought this was Snake Falls and Have a Smoke portage, but it was not. Upper put in is into channel on south side of a large island. Flow was strong enough that we lined the canoes on one 100 foot stretch.

Lake Description:
In this channel flowing between Shelley and Keats you will find moving water. There are no campsites until you get into the flat water further up past the second set of falls.
