You need to accept the two cookies offered.

You can actually log in and be recognized w/o accepting cookies but click any link beyond the page you're on and - BINGO - you're a guest again. The forums use cookies to provide member functionality. Without 'em it has no clue who you are and this forum will not let some anonymous "guest" or anyone else post under a member's name.

The fix, w/o compromising worthwhile sounding security already in place, using IE is something like Tools>Internet Options>Privacy>Override>allow cookies from quietjourney.com.

Basically, to take full advantage of privacy options here you need to accept the username and password cookies offered by QJ. I know it's unusual but on this site cookies are served for your benefit and yours alone. Even if your QJ cookies were compromised by some evil behavioral marketing firm or worse, all they'd get is your username and an encrypted password.

I just got this Dell for x-mas. I tried fixing it through the IE security link but no go. Your tip on the privacy tab fixed it. Thanks! Going from win 95 to xp makes takes some getting used to. If I could buy you a beer I would since I have been having this problem from the public library to bass pro.

muchos gracias, amigo.

Yesterday I tried to post a recipe on the recipe board it appears that it did not take because I check just a few moments ago and it is not there . Am I missing something?
I did receive a response that said an e-mail had been sent to my e-mail address. BTW I have not checked my e-mail. Please help.

Fried Corn Meal right? I have it. Those are added by hand. I have some others and I intend to get them up in the next two weeks along with almost everything else I have like the PDB.

Thanks db,
I wasn't sure so I did post it under what’s cooking for the time being. I know by seeing what times your logging in you've been quit busy. BTW the upgrade has made viewing quit a bit faster, and the marquies are a nice touch.

I have set my browser to accept cookies for your site as noted in this topic but still can't log on. It lets me log on, tells me I have 1 message but then tells me that this feature is only for registered users. I look up and I'm a guest once again. I go through a router, could this be the problem?

I use a router and don't have that problem. db should be able to sort it out for you though.
