'Bout time for some QJ decals for the canoe?

Well, it's about time for me anyway.  Will be picking up a new tandem canoe within a couple weeks and it's just not the same without a couple QJ logos plastered on the front.

db, do we have any leftovers floating around your garage?  Or might there be enough interest to put in a new order for a bunch of us at once?

Enquiring minds want to know...

Red Tigre color.  Seems being married 25 years entitles a guy to a brand new canoe if he's not really interested in any new jewelry to celebrate the occasion.

NICE!!! Does 36 years of marriage entitle me to the carbon-tec model? It's 1 lb lighter... Grin If it does, I could also use more QJ decals.

Check with spouse. YMMV, but I find anniversaries divisible by 5 will provide the most bang for your buck.  You can go with 36 being equal to 6x6 which is even better than 25 = 5x5.  Let me know how it goes.  Shocked

I'm glad for you bro. And happy you don't need to loan Tim the Grumman barge. I think if I suggested a new canoe to Mrs OS, I would get hit with a 6x6.  Grin

I love the look of the black-on-white-background on a red canoe.  But I can live with plain white if none of those are available.

All White on red........yeeecchhhh! The only thing an all white decal would look good on is a black boat IMHO. Gotta have black, besides black goes with just about everything. congrats on the new ride.

What I would like is a long sleeved t shirt, main logo on the back with any lettering (quiet journey .com) and a smaller graphic on the front. Maybe if enough folk were interested we could put together an order. I would probably pick up a few.

Just so no one is concerned, we always have happy anniversaries. If there is sufficient interest in caps or t-shirts, I would get another. I would prefer caps with the logo on front and website across rear. It would proudly be worn at Copia and all QJ gathering spots. Cool

A pair of solid black for me DB.

Don't know if you keep address records, but mine's probably different.

Let me know if you want email or pm.

Just picked up the canoe.  If it's not too late, switch me over to black, please, db (but only if the black-on-white isn't available).

Good call, MT.

So it seems the old supplier is no longer in business and I remember there being a setup fee it took a while to overcome. I'm in the process of finding the same quality and I think I've finally found a place that will provide the same quality for roughly the same price.

I had been meaning to do this earlier this year but life intervened. I still need to redo the ordering page to reflect changes and hope to have all my ducks in a row early by next week … I'll keep you posted.

This will make all of my "journey of the jug" apparel collectors items, right???  TTC made me custom bandannas, t-shirts and decals.

Sorry, there's no hats on the horizon in my brain.

TTC was the enabler for the Ts. He made decals too?

YB spearheaded the decals. By the time I factor in materials, time, gas, inventory, space, shipping, postage … ummm, I get the promotional aspect but none of that was in my head when I started QJ.

Shortly after I posted I got an email essentially saying extra art charge this is more difficult than we thought when you were here. I don't blame 'em one bit for a tiny little job and have since changed the file to what I expect will work for them…. We'll see.

But there's the rub. We all have our little areas of expertise yet knowledge is transferrable. Good enough sometimes is and we all know what we're good at.

I remember years ago some asked about T-shirt colors other than white and one for wicking T's instead of cotton. These days, I'm still happy to provide the best artwork I can to anyone who asks in the hope they will pay it forward.

So, if anyone wants to clear a two klick path……..

db,

I would take 2 sets, one black and if possible the other in gold - they would go well on my Bell Northwind 17 in Black Gold layup.  The black ones would go on my recently acquired Merling II in kevlar.

Actually, gold sounds like a really good idea to me. I wish you'd have said something sooner.

They were suppose to be done Friday. I called Monday. They said they'd call when I could be pick 'em up on Tuesday. I'll call in the morning. Maybe I can add a few gold.

I asked about the gold. They have a metallic gold for triple the price. I couldn't justify pulling the trigger on that. If there's interest in $44.00 sets of gold, ummm, maybe next time.

When might next time be? When either the black or white I'm picking up today are gone.

Yikes! The price of gold really has gone up!  Thanks for checking db.  Sorry for not responding sooner...didn't see the posts...been OFO...perhaps a set of each then.  The white will really stand out on the carbon.
