	We did the magnetic rock hike this past summer with our granddaughter. It was a fun hike, but I will confess I was tired at the end when we got back to our car. Anna had a great time! The rock is interesting. When you put your compass near it the needle goes all wonky.

	Fabulous photo Lynda! I went there last Spring. I’m amazed at what geologic forces upended that rock. Most likely a glacier. Also, I collected samples of Gunflint iron formation that were disturbed by a tsunami caused by the Sudbury meteor impact 1.86 billion years ago. It’s a unique location. Starwatcher

	I can't take much credit for the photo. There were a couple other people there, and Anna just handed her camera to one of them and they took a picture of the three of us. God provided the blue sky and the rock was just standing there. Couldn't get Anna to take off her head net--the mosquitoes were brutal.

One of the big reasons I go solo. I don't mind the cold. I worked commercial construction for 15 yrs. Rarely missed work in the winter months. Do you fish on your trips?
