Jimbo Checking your hammock straps for frays before using is something I'll be doing from now on. The one's that broke were brand new and rated at over 300# breaking strength. Split that on 2 sides and they should have been good. My new DIY straps are the ones that landscapers use to secure trees. Rated at over 1000#. If one of then breaks, I'll figure the Hammock God's are sending me a message

Although my hammock is comfortable and convenient, I just don’t sleep well. I toss and turn too much and like to sleep on my side, which I can only do, it seems, in a fetal position. No abandoning a hammock, just taking a break.

I'm hoping their new "true level" mattress will correct the minor "taco effects" i experienced at times last year. Jimbo
