Portage Description:
This is a seldom used portage but East Lake is easily reached from Agnes. I felt it was a difficult portage to find. Was definately not near the map portage on my fisher map. I felt it was 2 bays to the south. There are two portages into East and I'm discussing the one from the SE. Goes uphill all the way. A small wooded, shady path.

Lake Description:
Talk about wilderness! Just 65 rods from Agnes and the traffic--these two gems East (and Jeff) see very little traffic. Come here for some solitude. The put-in to East is mucky. Is often difficult to come in via North Bay--Jeff--to East lake as the river is often un-navigable. Your other option is to do as I did---Burke--Sunday--Meadows (ouch!)--Agnes. Didn't fish here--just relaxed, sorry!
