Canoeing Friends:

I've seen glimpses of the Northern Lights on previous trips to Quetico/BWCA, but they were nothing like what I saw on a fishing trip to northern Manitoba many years ago. Solar scientists are predicting the year 2000 to be a maximum for solar activity, and I suspect, a good year for the Aurorae Borealis.

Does anyone have any Northern Lights stories to share? I am wondering just how spectacular they can be in a good year up there.
