Thanks for the encouragement--we're in the middle of one of those typical Internet growth spurts, trying to make a lot of things better at the same time. Always good to get feedback, whether it's praise or criticism.

I understand the uneasiness any of you might have about commercial intrusions here. I like to think that what makes business sense for GORP--i.e., aiming to be an important internet hub for people interested in the outdoors--also generally means good things for people who want to see open spaces protected, etc., but I do know that it ain't pure. If there are people here who'd rather I didn't post about GORP.com stuff, let me know and I'll respectfully oblige.
