I haven't left. I was lurking in the background, keeping up with the board by reading the e-mails, but not really contributing. Now that you have mentioned me by name, you have forced me out of the shadows.

Although I remain interested in the postings here, I haven't been as active as I was when I was excitedly planning this summer's trip. I think you hit it on the head when you said, "Maybe it's that most of them have visited the park(s) recently - they have satisified the desires to get into the woods..."

I've previously posted my trip report to the Man Chain and Emerald. We did something similar to Greg, forgoing great distances and spending two nights at several of our camps. We found that we enjoyed the change of pace, and I found that my aging body appreciated it, too.
