I asked that question a few months ago and this is what I was told by the outfitter. Along with having a Canadian fishing license (if you are going to fish) you have to pay approx $10 per day to travel in Quetico, even if it is only for a few hrs. If I remember right, that cost is per canoe. I looked into it and that is why I am going to camp on the canadian side. It might cost a bit more but I save time and my back from the portages.
