We go after them pretty heavy in the summer. Your tecniques are proven and pretty much the same we use. Planer boards are effective but a hassle, especially in a canoe. I will be trying the fly-fishing method this summer. I always bring my 10' - 12 pound rod, floating "pike taper" line and large Dahlberg Divers for toothies and have a great time. This year = same rod with full sink line, 200 feet of backing and divers. Should be a kick. Posted by Fred Bear on March 06, 2002 at 14:12 |
