Portage Description:
Lots of short ups and downs over rock cliff edge overlooking rocky marsh/stream bed. You could paddle some of the stream if the water levels were higher. Lots of rock just below water surface at present. Tons of downfall from storm last summer and winter fall. We lost the trail as it approached Rock Island Lake due to downfall debris and could only struggle through marshy end of lake to reach Rock Island.
Lake after portage: Rock Island

Lake Description:
Small lake on isolated chain to Clearwater , Turtle and eventually Bald eagle Lakes.
