Portage Description:
Nice, reasonably short portage with a moderate up & over elevation profile. Avoids a long meandering route up Boulder Bay if needing to travel, and definitely worth the pull-out / put-in. Boulder Bay is reputed to be shallow and full of rocks, so taking the portage may avoid a lot of nasty hang-ups and hull scrapes.
Lake after portage: Boulder River
Known campsites: None at all
Lake Description:
The short reach of the boulder river before the next portage is flanked on the north by a marshy spot and there are active beaver in the area. Nice, quiet spot.
