Portage Description:
This is a nice portage. Usually my last on my trips so it is good to end with an easy portage. My favorite camp on Alpine is the on the island directly across from the portage, nice view of the lake. The portage gets pretty messy as related to its elevation or lack of. Be prepared to get your feet/legs muddy regardless of the weather so if your coming in from seagull on your first day keep your sandals on for this one.
