Portage Description:
This portage is not very steep. There was a lot of blowdown damage but the trail was clear. A lot of water/mud to walk thru. Right before you get to Alpine there was a tree across the trail about 4 ft high making it hard to get the canoe across.

Known campsites: not sure
Lake Description:
Lake was clear, and talking with campers there fishing was not very good in Alpine, a lot of small pike.
