Portage Description:
YUCK !!!!.... Portage out of Cacabic about 20 rods in it is swamp, we had to walk in knee deep muck at times & go over & under blown down trees..... after the swamp you go Up, Up, Up then back down a steep ridge..... this portage had everything that I dislike....swampy, steep ridges, & long
Lake after portage: Thomas
Known campsites: 8+
Lake Description:
Great Lake, crystal clear, you can see along ways down, Quite the contrast to the lakes conected to Kawishiwi River..... supposed to have Lakers in it but we didn't find any..... alot of the campsites off the main route were underused you can definatly find some solitude on this lake if you just look off the beaten path.
