Portage Description:
There is a downed tree in the water at Bootleg that help locating this portage. Kind of hilly, but a really beautiful portage. The top of land looks like a forest fire went through in recent years, so the forest is open with little underbrush. Great vista of the Little Indian Sioux River. I wished I had time to stop and paint it, but I had to get through the portage to Little Trout. No time.
