Portage Description:
I have taken this portage numerous times. This year, in July, it was the worst I'd ever seen, however, it had been very wet and we were taking the portage in the pouring rain. In August, it was dry as a bone and it was a cinch. I've thought a lot about what people think of these 2 portages (the 2 Meadows portages). 6 groups a day are allowed into Agnes. That many groups and many more are coming out (leaving) Agnes a day. If it was so bad, no one would take these. It's a freeway--very wide. It is also very beautiful.
