Portage Description:
76 rods! Ha! I swear it was more like 100. Somewhat traveled footpath that generally heads slowly downhill to the small pond/lake just W of West lake and N of North Bay. There is another route to North Bay via an unamed lake from West to N Bay that exits West lake on the mid S shore. I was advised by the outfitter to steer clear of that route because of the long "muck slog" that awaited one en route to N Bay.
