Easy to difficult pending water level. We had a knee deep muck slog and over several beaver dams--took a good 30 minutes.

Lake Description:
The gem of Basswood is this bay. We were headed for Burke and had to cross treacherous SW winds with whitecaps breaking over the gunwales. Was an adrenaline pumper! If you're going to Burke, there are 3 small islands to shelter behind as you cross, and 2 have great campsites. Got scolded by some otters by the big island at the Burke Lake takeout!
