What are those lines in the bottom of today's POD?
They look like ropes but that doesn't seem right.

Fishing pole trolling a line ST.  Could be Dyneema line, giving it the white look.

Today's POD reminds me of my trip across the west end of Sturgeon lake heading down the Maligne River.
I had my compass on the floor of the canoe to guide me. Fog so thick I couldn't barely see the bow of the canoe.
Strange feeling paddling blind. When I got close I could hear the roar of the falls which made me feel much better. I was almost dead on with my compass heading, the falls just confirmed it.

Ditto.  Crossed half of Pickerel in those conditions with a compass. GPS couldn't cut the fog.  Fun stuff.
