Portage Description:
This small portage is flat and should present no problems. There were no downed trees as of last spring.

Lake after portage: Brant
Known campsites: 3
Lake Description:

Brant Lake is the first lake actually in the BWCA coming this way. It's a very pretty lake with the north end being fairly deep and the southern end being shallow. The big bay to the south west is mostly only a few feet deep and should be a good place for moose. There's a beautiful island in the middle of the northern part. I've only camped on the campsite furthest to the north west. It's away from the shore by 100 feet or so but nice and roomy.
