Dore to TwinPortage Description: Dore has a sand beach, pictographs, good fishing and a sunken logging raft at the landing. Lake after portage: Twin Known campsites: not sure Lake Description: The change in water quality and wilderness feel is profound, traveling from Dore to Twin Lakes. This is the portal to real wilderness. Water is bog-stained, dramatic cliffs, old growth pine and the trip down Deux Rivers to Sturgeon is a highlight of this route--moose almost always spied, and great fishing on the Pickerel River flowing out of Olifaunt.
