Portage Description:
Knee deep muck necessitated forgoing the portage which, in itself, was very difficult to find. Getting to the portage required paddling further up Poohbah Creek and bushwhacking a trail to get to the portage itself. The portage itself is very overgrown, uneven, swampy and the bugs made this one of the more challenging portages I have been on in my 20-odd years of traveling the Quetico.

Lake after portage: Wink
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Our group spent the better part of 3 days on Wink before heading to Poohbah. In our opinion the fishing is not as good as Poohbah and the average size is definitely small by Quetico standards. The steep banks make this lake devoid of good campsites. There are only 2 decent camp sites on the lake. The water clarity is clear to murky. IMHO for those of you that are traveling to this part of the Quetico your best investment is to by pass Wink in favor of Poohbah lake.
