Portage Description:
This in not an actual portage. To the Northeast of the 30 rod portage between lake one and two there is a river system that connects the two lakes. While the map shows rapids it may look passable. It is not! The water comes roaring through a steep drop and a person is forced to bushwhack through some pretty heavy timber. You have to pull your canoes upstream for a good distance in a good current. Take the extra time and go through the 30 rod portage to the South.
Lake after portage: Lake Two
Known campsites: 8+
Lake Description:
Busy lake with lots of campsites. Many people will paddle in for a one or two night stay. Leave the crowds behind and paddle on to at least lake four or Hudson.
