Portage Description:
Although not very long there is a large change in elevation between the two lakes which makes the portage steep at times. This is a great place though to stop and take a few pictures. The falls are really worth seeing. There are a couple of trails off of the portage to the east which will take you to the falls. Make sure not to block the portage but take a moment to go get some pictures. There is also some good small mouth fishing below the falls.
Lake after portage: Knife
Known campsites: 8+
Lake Description:
Big and long. Avoid if there is a lot of wind especially from the west or north west. Did have some good luck with Walleye along talus sloped banks.
