Portage Description:
Not a bad portage from Keewatin to Kawnipi, although is rather rocky as it follows a creek bed. Steep hill downward to Kawnipi at the end.

Lake Description:
Fantastic fishing in sprawling Kawnipi. Nice 4 star campsite southwest of Rose Island. Many Moose in this area. Note: Could not locate a campsite in Keewatin, although there is probally a seldome used one on the solitary island in the lake. Fish Keewatin near the reefs as you travel from the portage out of unnamed to the portage from Keewatin to Kawnipi (Spring Lake Trout).
