Portage Description:
First few rods are uphill, then it levels out and is pretty flat for the remainder of the portage. There are a couple hiking trails branching off of each side of the portage. As you are heading towards Horseshoe take the trail on the right side of the portage. You will be rewarded with a beautiful walk thru a very scenic cedar swamp, and if you keep further on the trail there are remains of an old logging camp, pay attention or you will miss them... Take a camera.
