Lessons learned in '99

Ok, I'll stir the pot a little. Here's a question that generated some good discussion in some forums of similar interest ... (I know Ken will recognize this!)

Now that the "season" is over and most, if not all, of us have put our paddles away for the winter, what lessons did you learn this season that will cause you to do something different next year? Equipment? Technique? Planning?

I learned that middle age adults on a canoe trip have appitites pretty much like home, unlike teenagers and twenty-somethings on a backpacking trip. I packed WAY too much food, especially lunch stuff. Next time I won't double "standard" serving sizes like I normally do for backpacking with Boy Scouts.

Okay Reverand, your dice.
