Portage Description:
The portage from Rouge into Jean Creek is short and easy. I believe that this is the only portage on Jean Creek (Heading from Rouge to Sturgeon) where you cannot line or walk your canoe downstream. There are 4 total short portages marked in the upstream direction from Sturgeon to Rouge but similarly, I would line them.

Lake after portage: Sturgeon
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Sturgeon Lake opens up after this portage, and you can get windbound with easterlies if not careful. Take advantage of the wind if you have it if heading east, even if tired from the portages/days travels out of this creek.
