Portage Description:
You must paddle a fast water chute to reach the takeout. Most make it with no problem. Nice takeout with plenty of room. Portage is steadily uphill but not difficult. Well maintained and scenic. Portage ends at the top of curtain falls. Beautiful spot for lunch, excellent fishing below falls from shore. Put-in can be dicey during high water due to the current flowing over the falls. YOU DO NOT want to go over this waterfall!!! Crooked Lake is a long lake with many large bays and islands.
