Portage Description:
This is a relatively average portage. It is a bit hilly, but nothing resembling difficult. It will take you through a low lying cedar stand for a few rods. Be sure to wear your insect repellant. (I also think this portage is described by another member as Sheridan to Emerald. If you look at a map, that would be quite a LONG portage, perhaps with a bit of a swim.)

Lake Description:
The only reason we camped on Sheridan was because it was getting dark. I've heard others having success with lakers and walleye, but all I caught were average sized smallies. Allegedly, there is an abandoned uranium mine near the marked campsite. We never found it, though.
