Portage Description:
The first take-out is on the north side of the run out draining into Omeme from Badwater. It follows the edge of the creek over a large rock base to a weedy put-in on a narrow creek. You'll shortly find a medium high beaver dam. I got over by just removing my large pack and pushing the boat over with the rest of the load. The middle portage has it's take-out on the north side of the creek at a nice level opening. The carry passes through a meadow area and around a series of drops in the creek to the edge of a rock base put-in. The last portage is a new beaver dam that has flooded out the portage I did in July/2001 farther up stream. You'll see it as you float over it into the bay leading to Badwater Lake. No real portage trail at the beaver dam, just unload, push over, and reload.
