Additional Perspectives:

Portage Description:
There are a few grades to be negotiated but it had major improvement made 1996-1997 in the corduroy lining of the two major bogs. The addition of boards/bridging made this merely a long portage vs. an experience better suited for water buffalo. However, it still has virtually no tree/tree branches where you can rest the canoe. During mosquito sesason be prepared for some serious attacks as there are few places on the entire trail where any wind can come through.

Known campsites:
Lake Description:

There are a number of nice campsites in Badwater. There's a particularly scenic one along the Northern shoreline across the channel leading into Omeme. If you're looking for a spot to work on high diving - this camp might be it. A similar high campsite is located along the eastern side of the narrows as you're entering West Bay from Quetico.
