Portage Description:
This is the best portage trail I have ever seen. It is smooth gravel the whole way; there are no inclines the whole way. It is very flat, and the landings are excellent. If all of the portages were like this one it wouldn't be a wilderness.

There are a lot of good sites here the best one is the one on the point about a mile from the Pipestone end.
