Portage Description:
After the first portage, you paddle about a half mile to the big portage. The big portage passes a number of ponds. at the end of the big portage is a small pond which you must paddle to get to another small portage. The portage trails are bad. There are sharp drops/rises to deal with and ankle spraining boulder gardens. There were a few places where those like me with limited agility will be unable to carry the canoe alone. Although we carried the gear the entire span of the long portage, I did paddle the canoe through the western most pond to avoid a bad area of trail. GPS locations (WGS-84) of the three portages:
48.30136, -91.77475/48.30129, -91.77377 : 48.29486, -91.76178/48.29214, -91.75105 : 48.29175, -91.74826/48.29110, -91.74719
