db Brent was pretty nice, we were there for 3 0r 4 days and only saw one other canoe passing through in the distance. We stayed in the west end and bushwacked into some smaller lakes for some incredible fishing. We got into the small lake in the northwest corner off Brent and the three of us caught about 200-3Lb largemouths in one day. All the fish were the exact same size (stunted maybe from overpopulation). I know this sounds like a fish story, but thats why we put the effort into the tough portages. The fish acted like they had never seen a lure before and were HUNGRY. We joked about not falling in or it would be like a school of Pirahna after a chicken. I don't mind sharing this secret spot because most people aren't going to make the tough portages and even if they did, it would take an awful lot of pressure to make a dent in the Largemouth population in that lake. By the way we named it Largemouth Lake................... Posted by DaveD on February 21, 2000 at 19:37 In reply to: Re: Question posted by db on February 21, 2000 at 01:00 |
