Portage Description:
There are steep parts on either end of the portage, but the middle is overall level with a few exceptions. Not a bad portage at all, be careful if doing this portage when its raining, I almost dropped the canoe on my head.

Lake after portage: Insula
Known campsites: 8+
Lake Description:

One of my favorite lakes, many islands and great campsites. Williamson Island is a very nice camp as is the island just to the west of it. Insula is a marvelous fishing lake for both pike and walleye. That explains the name of one of the walleye holes, "the meat house" and that it is. Trolling shad raps and walleye divers is a great way to fish this lake. I once caught two 12lb plus pike in a matter of an hour once.
