Portage Description:
We made this portage on a day trip from our base camp, after a night of heavy rain during a dry summer. The portage was very wet in the low spots, and had several areas with logs placed in it to walk on. Two members of the party miss stepped and were up to their middle thigh in mud. The trail is wide and well traveled but has several low spots and rise gently 50' before descending to a loss of elevation of 11'.

Lake after portage: Cacabic
Known campsites: 2
Lake Description:

Cacbic was a narrow lake, with large old growth trees. We did find a moose antler and some one carved an old man's face and pipe into a tree, well done art but it was a shame it was done in a live tree!
