Portage Description:
In August of 1999 it was difficult to find the portage due to light damage from the storm. We never did see the portage to Mavis Lake. Near Missing Link there is a significant "crack" in the rock that presents a challenge. Other than that it is an average portage of this length.

Lake Description:
We spent the night on the island on the southwest end. While the island sustained light damaage from the storm, the camp site was quite nice. You are very close to the lake shore on all sides, so it has a very secluded and comfortable feel. The swimming was good. The campsite is on bare granite.
