Basswood* to Basswood* |
Boundary Waters portages Posted by: tom Season/Year: Summer 01 Water Level: average Length: 60 rods Rating: average | Additional Perspectives: Glen Peddy Dan |
Portage Description:
The portage is pretty nice; a little up and down but not too bad. The Pipestone side landing is fairly rocky, and the Jackfish landing is very small. There is only room for 1 maybe 2 canoes in the water.
Lake after portage: Basswood*
Known campsites: 8+
Lake Description:
I have never stayed at any of the Jackfish sites , the Pipestone ones are pretty nice. Wind will be a big factor on both Pipe and Jack.
