Portage Description:
This one was marked at 320, but the Forest Service re-routed it around some private land very recently. I don't know the new length exactly yet, but I'm guessing it's around 480 rods, and the new section is VERY rugged. What used to be a long, but easy, portage is now one of the toughest ones that I've been on in 10 years of visits.
