Portage Description:
This portage was rerouted because of difficulties with a landowner in 2003. The new route has a lot of steep ups and downs and is very rough. It changed this portage from a fairly flat and easy mile to a really taxing experience. There is an alternative route up Crab Creek that may be advisable if water levels are high. If water levels are not high, the Crab Creek route is considerably worse than even the new portage.
