Portage Description:
Not unusually hard for a portage of this length. Uphill for first 15-20 rods followed by a few patches of mud, dry and stable enough to support weight. Did not have to jump from log to log. Stream crossing was dry and obvious. Portage would be much tougher if wet and slippery.
