Portage Description:
The landing is fairly obvious and you can paddle right up to a small sandy beach. A couple rocks are in the way but nothing unmanageable. There's a little elevation gain at first...then there's a crest about half way before an easy descent. On Alpine the landing has nice canopy, solid ground and is roomy, there is about enough clearing, considering shallow water, roots and rocks, for 2 boats to launch. All-in-all an easy/average portage. I caught a couple pike in the little bay where the portage is, before heading out into the lake.

Lake Description:

Keep your map out as there are lots of islands, and it could be confusing if you don't monitor each move you make.
