Portage Description:
Same length portage as portage from Entry point to Ram Lake but more difficult. Lots of large roots and boulders on the portage. Putting the canoe in at Kroft was a muddy mosquito infested mud pit. It had not rained for the past couple of months, but rained over night and the morning of this portage. Not sure about the mud and mosquito conditions at other times. We needed to wear our netting to keep from inhaling mosquitoes. I would estimate that we had about 50-75 mosquitoes swarming around each of us on shore trying to get into Kroft Lake.

Lake after portage: Kroft
Known campsites: not sure
Lake Description:

Kroft is a small lake, similar in size to Ram. We saw a beaver dam in the lake near the portage between Kroft and Rum lakes.
