Portage Description:
Relatively easy portage up and over a hill on the north side of the rapids. Path gets a little narrow at the top with a pretty sharp drop down the hill. Spotted a moose in the area just before the portage and some bear scat and tracks along the portage. Landing on east side is ok, landing on the west side is muddy.

Lake Description:
Another narrow east/west lake, not river. Afternoon usually has a pretty stiff breeze out of the west. Next portage is about 10-15 minutes away, on the west side of a rapids that heads off to the south.
