Stay close to the left bank as you approach this portage from the upstream side. The landing is close to the brink of the falls. The portage is short, easy, and downhill in this direction.

As you launch out from this portage, you will want to cross over to the right side of the river as soon as you can safely do so (when headed downstream). Then stay close to the right bank until you get to the next portage.
