Portage Description:
The Portage starts out steep and is up and down the rest of the way. It is a very high and scenic portage. Has spectacular views of the rapids and lake from high above them. The last quarter of the portage is spent going down. The first trip I took this portage it was not very difficult but during the 2001 trip the last half had severe blowdown which made the portage difficult.

Lake after portage: Olifaunt
Known campsites: 8+
Lake Description:

Have base camped here twice, very clear with good campsites. Fishing for Walleye and Pike good, good smallmouth near the rapids. Good campsite on the peninsula just before the main body of the lake. Small island campsite if you don't mind gathering firewood at a different location and paddling with it. Stayed on both sites, great when it is warm, breeze keeps bugs down and keeps it cool, but wouldn't be good during cold weather.
